There is no place like home. We connect many pleasant things with our home, our dearest people, parents, friends, nature, gentle flowers, trees in the yard, our native language and music, the first book read in the childhood, lively and noisy games. That’s why we miss our home badly when we are away. In such moments we feel loneliness and homesickness. You always look forward to homecoming and are delighted to meet your friends and relatives. I would like to tell you about my home. We live in a new cottage in one of the greenest residential areas. We moved here 11 years ago. It is a 4-room house and it consists of a living room, my parents’ bedroom, two children’s rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. There are two balconies in the house. Our house has all modern conveniences: central heating, telephone, electricity, running water and gas. Besides, there is a garage near our house. The rooms are light, though not very large. The windows face the yard in front of the building and the view is really wonderful as we have a lot of various fruit trees there. Our living room is rather large. In fact it is the largest room in our flat. In the living room there are two comfortable armchairs, two sofas, a coffee table and a nice thick carpet on the floor. Opposite the window there is a wall unit, but it doesn’t take much space of the room. We are fond of entertaining our guests here. Now I’d like to describe my room. To tell the truth I am very happy to have a room of myself, though it is not very big. I try to keep it tidy and cozy. There is a sofa, a writing table and a bookcase in my room. There is also a carpet on the floor and a small coffee-table in the corner with a cage on it for my hamster. But the most popular and favorite place for all our family is our kitchen, as we spend most of our time there. We are not big-eaters, but kitchen as a place where we can have a chat or discuss our problems. There are some stools, a table, a cupboard, a sink with water taps, a fridge and a gas cooker in the kitchen. In the yard there is our dog’s house. By the way its name is Muhtar and it is our dearest pet. Also there is a garden full of apple-trees, pea-trees, plump-trees and cherry-trees. In spring the smell is wonderful and I like to sit there in sunny days. My mother is fond of flowers so we have a nice flowerbed with tulips, which make our garden just beautiful. I like my home very much.
